Writing refers to one activity which helps the students to interact for any necessity such as applying job, making a task from the teacher and others. Writing is an alternative way to create ideas. Writing is very useful to be taught in the class remembering writing is always needed for delivering information, telling story, sharing experiences. However, some students in MA 1 Annuqayah Putri Guluk-Guluk Sumenep face difficulties during narrative text writing.
However, the teacher at eleventh grade Language Class of MA 1 Annuqayah Putri Guluk-Guluk Sumenep used movie in teaching narrative text writing as media. That is why the researcher is curious to know about the use of this movie in this area.
There are two research problems in this research. Firstly, how is the process of using movie in teaching narrative text writing. Secondly, what is the result of using movie in teaching narrative text writing at MA 1 Annuqayah Putri Guluk-Guluk sumenep. This research is to describe the process of using movie in teaching narrative text writing at MA 1 Annuqayah Putri Guluk-Guluk Sumenep and to know the result of using movie in teaching narrative text writing at MA 1 Annuqayah Putri Guluk- Guluk Sumenep.
The data was collected through observation to the class of eleventh grade at Language class, interview with the teacher and also the students at the eleventh grade at Language class, and documentation in terms of photo, video, and recorder.
The result of this research shows that the using movie in teaching narrative text writing to the eleventh grade of Language class was efficient and very useful to the students in learning narrative text writing. Because it makes the students are able to write a narrative text. Besides, it is interesting to the students to help the students in developing their writing skill.
Based on the result above, it is expected for the teacher to be more creative in teaching writing skill which is whished their writing students get progress and they will have better than before. And it is recommended for the eleventh grade students to study hard and have high motivation by obeying the teacher’ instruction in the class.
