According to the result the observation which had been held on Thursday, September 22nd 2013 by the researcher to the eleventh grade students’ of MA Al-Abror I Blumbungan. The students have problems in comprehending reading passage. Therefore, the teacher must have the good technique to overcome these problems.
This research was conducted in order to make a better condition of the teaching and learning of reading through the implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CICRC) technique. There are two research focuses that become main topic in this research. The first is does the Implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CICRC) improve the students’ ability in Comprehending Reading Passage to eleventh grade students of MA Al-Abror 1 Blumbungan. The second, how does the teacher implement Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CICRC) to improve the students’ ability in Comprehending Reading Passage to eleventh grade students of MA Al-Abror 1 Blumbungan.
This research applied Classroom Action Research in three cycles. For the students’ score, in the cycle I it was in the percentage of 43,3% and increased in the cycle II of 60% and became higher in the cycle III in the percentage of 90%.
It can be concluded that the use of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CICRC) technique can increase the teacher’s activities, the students’ activities, and the students’ score of the eleventh grade at MA Al-Abror 1 Blumbungan.
