Every teacher should be able to teach in front of class. Teaching is one of component from teacher’s competence, Then every teacher should master and skillful carrying teaching because it can determine to the result at the end of meeting. Teaching is transfer knowledge and information from teacher to students and sharing together in classroom or outclass. One of model learning that can be used by teacher in teaching learning process is andragogy model.
This research focuses on two problem which become the main discussion in this research: the first, how the English teacher implement andragogy model in SMA Al-IftitahiyahBatuputihLaokSumenep, and the second is what the advantages and weaknesses of andragogy model for students in SMA Al-IftitahiyahBatuputiLaokSumenep.
The approach of this thesis is qualitative, the data gotten from interview, observation and documentation, then those data are analyzed with qualitative-descriptive, then all of data that have been gotten are checked the validity of the data.
The result of the research shows that the English teacher uses andragogy model to lose the boredom around of the students, the English teacher try to make students active in teaching and learning process, so that the students can get good achievement in learning. The hope of teacher to the students in using andragogy model is to make the students participating in teaching and learning process. The activeness of the students when teaching learning process is important thing in using andragogy model in SMA Al-IftitahiyahBatuputihLaokSumenep. The advantages of andragogy model for students in learning English is can learn enjoy and mastered English quickly and the weaknesses of students is students shock with new model of learning because it is very different with model learning before.
