Confidence students’ speaking is an importance element in learning a foreign language such as English. It is decided to get the teacher understanding about how deep the students’ understand of material in the form of sound or oral speaking. And the confidence also is close with the temperament students’ has. Because in each temperament has their own characteristic also it will be impact to their behavior on speaking.
Temperament is one of the characteristic of human such as friendly, easy to change, calm or silence ship and perfectionist, because nobody is identic. Also it’s dealing with confidence exactly to speak up in front of public, as we know that speaking is the main tool to increase language and in speaking people needs to interact with the other, so have a confidence speaking is important to make easier in communicating and increase speaking skill
The focus of the study are: First, the kind of temperament that students of Aphrodite English Club have,and second, the temperament gives confidence to students in speakingEnglish. This researchapproach qualitative and applied in the descriptive research, then data is taken from the member of Aphrodite English Club. The instruments which are used in conducting this research are 1). Questionnaire by the closed-ended questionnaire it’s used to know what are the temperament of the students’ in Aphrodite English Club, if the member are sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric and also melancholic, also it’s used to divide them into several group based on their temperament in the observation, 2). Observation the researcher as the observer only and does not take a part of the class. The instrument of this study uses. Then the researcher uses observation , this instrument used to know which temperament that has the confidence speaking in speaking English, 3) Interview,it’s used to know which temperament make them confidence in speaking English and make sure about the data had been taken from the other instrument and make sure that they are counter not only in the class but also in their daily life. Then, 4).Documentation.
The results of this study are: 1). There are two kinds of temperament that the students’ of Aphrodite English Club have sanguine and melancholic. And , 2)The daily life and the characteristic of sanguine temperament makes the sanguine person of the student in Aphrodite English Club looks more confidence to speak English in the public.
