Generally,morpheme and word formation process is kind of morphology.
Morpheme is the smallest units of language that have a meaning or a grammatical
function and word formation process is the process of creating new word. These
considerations are clarified in some definition of morpheme and word formation
process stated by some experts. Morphology is one kind of lesson of english
departmen in STAIN Pamekasan, in this case the aim of this reserch is toconvey
the message that analyzed word based on morphological process is not difficult
but rather to undesrtand deeply about the theory of morphology need an effort
therefore, researcher want to describe how to anlyze morpheme and word
formation process in vocabularies that used in Clash of clan online game.
Based on the phenomena above, there are two research problems. The
first,What are vocabularies used in Clash of Clans online game?, the second, How
are morpheme and word formation process of vocabularies used in Clash of Clans
online game?
Based on the reseacher problems above, there are two researcher
objectives of this study. The first, to describe what are vocabularies used in Clash
of Clans online game. The second, to analyze the morpheme and word formation
process of vocabularies used in Clash of Clans online game.
This study uses qualitative approach and it is descriptive design. To collect
the data the researcher uses two data collection procedures, those are: observation
anddocumentation.
Based on the result of observation and documentation. There are many
english vocabularies used in clash of clan online game from the first level until
ninth level in a number of 62 english vocabularies that researcher found which
analyzed based on morpheme and word formation process. There are 18
vocabularies that can be analyzed based on free morpheme (lexical morpheme), 8
vocabularies that can be analyzed based on free morpheme (lexical morpheme)
and bound morpheme (derivational and inflectional morpheme) and in the theory
of word formation process, there are 31 vocabularies of compounding, 3
vocabularie which include to the suffixes and 2 vocabularies are include to the
acronym.
The suggestion this research to the reader especially students of STAIN
Pamekasan to understand deeply about theory of morphology as the compulsory
english lesson in english departmen. So, Students can anaylze morphology
correctly
