Language has important role and function in our live, It is used as means of commuication and expression ideas and feeling also. Vocabulary is the most important in writing and spaking, vocabulary also helps improve raeding skill and language skill if want to study English language. Writing skill is one of the English skill that must the students mastered because writing can help students perform a different kind of activity in this case speaking and lisenng. Students need to be write to do these activites so, the students need skill to write what they want. There are two problems of this research. The first is there are any Correlation of the vocabulary mastery in the students' writing skill at the eighth grade students of How the significant is the correlation between student's vocabulary and students writing skill. The second is How the significant is the correlation between student's vocabulary and students writing skill at the eighth grade students ofMTs Miftahul Fakhirin Kembang Kuning Pameksan.
The research design of this research is quantitatif research by using correlatinal research. This research has two variable, they are variable X (independent variable) and variable Y (dependent variable). Variable Xis Vocabulary Mastery, and variable Y is students Writing Skill. The population of this research is at MTs Miftahul Fakhirin Kembang Kuning Pameksan which consist of one class. The number of students at VIII class is 21 students. While the sample of this research is class VIII MTs Miftahul Fakhirin Kembang Kuning Pameksan that consist of 21 students. The instruments that are uses of this research in collecting data are vocabulary test and documentation. This reasearch was done (15-03-2017). The student research of data anJyzed used statistical method. The obtained data was analyzed by using product moment formula
The result of research showed that there is correlation of vocabulary mastery and writing skill at the eighth grade students of MTs Miftahul Fakhirin Kembang Kuning Pameksan. It is proven from the result of data analysis that show the value ofrxy is higher than rtable(0,4332: 0,655) in significant level 5%.
Based on the esult above, it is know that there is Correlation of vocabulary mastery in the writing skill at the eighth grade students of MTs Miftahul Fakhirin Kembang Kuning Pamekasan. It means that vocabulary mastery have correlation to the student's writing skill. So, the teacher have increase their English vocabulary in order that their well.
