Translation is a process of rendering meaning, ideas, of message of a text from one language to other language. Translation does not only change the form but translation is a process of transferring the meaning from source language (SL) to target language (TL), the important thing in translation is the way to find the equivalent meaning in source language (SL) to target language (TL). In transaltion process, there are some steps that must be done, studying the source text, analyzing it, and reconstructing the meaning. So, a translator must know about the process and procedure in translation. Abstract is a brief summary of a research article, thesis, review, conference proceeding, or any indept analysis of a particular subject and is often used to help the reader quickly ascertain the papers purpose. Abstract thesis is an abstract that the researcher had been analyzed because the researcher want to know what are the translation method used in abstract thesis of 2013 TBI Graduated of library IAIN Madura.
The researcher focus of this research are what kind of the translations method used in translation abstract thesis by 2013 TBI Graduated students at library IAIN Madura and how do the students translated from source language into target language in translation abstract thesis by 2013 TBI Graduated students at library IAIN Madura.
In this research, the researcher used qualitative research especially kind of library research and structural approach as objective approach. Some the data is coming from abstract thesis of 2013 TBI Graduated as the data source. For validity the data, the researcher using triangulation of data source.
Based on the analysis, the researvch had succesfully answered the research questions, the researcher find the process of translation that are used on the result of translation text in abstract thesis, there are three stage in process of translation, they are analysis stage, transfer stage and restructure stage. the research concluded that there were fourth translation method that used in translating abstract, those are word for word translation, literal translation, free translation, and communicative translation. And they many used literal translation.
The researcher realizes that this research is not as deep as the researcher think, so the researcher expect the next researcher to have another research dealing with the process of translation and method of translation.
