An Analysis of Students’ Self Confidence on Speech Contest in MA Al-Amin Bugih Pamekasan

Self Confidence is a belief in yourself to do or show something based on
your own abilities. Confidence is one of the most important things a person must
have. This is cause of Self Confidence will greatly affect every job that humans
do. By having Self Confidence someone will be able to do something totally
based on his abilities. Likewise with the speech competition. A person to perform
well in a speech contest must have high Self Confidence.
There are two focus of these research. First is what are the factor that make
the students’ unconfident on speech contets in MA Al-Amin Bugih Pamekasan?
and how they can get their confident on speech contest? So, in this research the
researcher analyze how they are can get their confident on speech contest and also
anlyze what factor that make the students feel not confidence on speech contest.
This is qualitative research, the researcher collecting the data from
interviews, observations and documentations. From the data the researcher known
how are the students of MA Al-Amin can get their confident when perform on
speech contest. Then the researcher what are the factor that make the students of
MA Al-Amin feel unconfident when perform on speech contest.
The result of this research are two factors that make the students
unconfident when appearing in a speech contets. There are physiology and other
is thought. And there are three things that can make the students’ of MA Al-Amin
Bugih Pamekasan get their confident on speech contest First there is make
preparatios before perform on speech contest, second is generating a strong will
and the last is covering their mistakes.
