“The Effectivness of The Use Night Competitions Routine Toward Speaking Skill at BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-bata, Palengaan Pamekasan”.

Key word : Night competitions routine and speaking skill.
Night competition are routine student talent show which are held every
Friday night, and night competition are similar to show, but the night competition
focus more on students creativity and its realization every Friday night in one
week.
This study aims todo the more the students join night competitions the
better the students speaking skill at BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-bata, Palengaan
Pamekasan and How significance is the effectiveness of night competitions routine
on students speaking skill at BBEC Mambaul Ulum Bata-bata, Palengaan
Pamekasan.
This study uses a quantitative approach, the research method used was
correlation research. This research was conducted by giving a questionnaire to
BBEC students first. Then types of data in this study are primary data and
secondary data. The population in this study were students or members of the 24th
period BBEC. Samples (30 students) were taken using a random sampling
technique of probability sampling. The instruments used in data collection in this
study were questionnaire. The statistical formula which is used to analyze the data
is product moment.
The result of this study indicate that the more BBEC students participate in
the night competitions routine, the more students have a good speaking skill. This
can be seen from the rxy value is 0,549 which is higher than r tabel 0,361 with a
significance level of 5% (0,05). So from the results of the rxy test (rxy value:
0,549> rtabel: 0,361). So it can be concluded taht the routine program of this night
competitions routine is effective of the speaking ability of students at BBEC
Mambaul Ulum Bata-bata, Palengaan Pamekasan.
