1, The Use 0utdoor Learning Activity in Speaking English Class at Latansa BEC Pameksan

Latansa is a course that uses outdoor learning in speaking English. The purpose of the
study was to know the learning process of speaking English class by tutors at Latansa in using
outdoor learning and what were the students' responses to the tutor’s use of outdoor learning
in speaking English. Based on this research, the researcher focuses on two research focuses (1)
How does the tutor apply outdoor learning in teaching speaking English class (2) What are the
student's responses to the tutor's using of outdoor learning in teaching speaking English class
at Latansa BEC Pamekasan.
In this study using qualitative research. Researchers collected data using observation,
interviews, and documentation. In collecting data, the researcher conducted direct observations
and interviews with tutors and students at Laransa, to find out about the use of outdoor learning
in speaking and what the responses from Latansa students were about the use of outdoor
learning in speaking.
The results of the above research indicated that the researchers found the using of
outdoor learning that conducted by tutors at Latansa BEC Pamekasan which was carried out
every morning in order to practice student’s speaking English at Latansa BEC. There are 3
steps that must be done in using outdoor learning such as 1. Preparation, 2. Implementation, 3
documentation. And various responses from students with the tutor use outdoor learning in
speaking English such as feeling happy, interesting, not boring, helping students improve their
speaking, being more confident, and motivated in following the speaking learning process.
Through this paper, we will get new vocabulary and increase our knowledge in using
words. For the community, they can find many ways to use strategies in the process of learning
speaking so that students can happily follow the process. And various responses from students
in the process of learning speaking English by using outdoor learning.
