Students’ ability on translating from English into Indonesia of eight grade at MTsN 2 sumenep

Students are a successor of the nation who are obliged to get knowledge in
the field of Education. students ' ability to understand, interpret and translate text
is very important for education, especially English lessons. Word choice is one
element that is very important for the ability to write and speak everyday. in
translation, translate the message or source language (Bsu) into the target
language (Bsa) so that the reader or listener can understand the message in the
text. word processing skills are closely related to the selection of diction, the
meaning of words and the acquisition of meaning.
Students’ ability on translating from English into Indonesia of eight grade at
MTsN 2 sumenep that relates the story they read and translated from English to
Indonesian. The teacher gives examples of the kinds of texts that exist in English.
Then, the teacher asks students to translate using a manual dictionary and an
electronic dictionary. In addition, students are also asked to determine the generic
parts of the structure of the text type.
Based on this, the researchers made two focus problems in this study. First,
what kind of text does the eighth grade mtsn 2 Sumenep translate. Second, what
tools do students use to translate text from English to Indonesian eighth grade
Mtsn 2 Sumenep.
Researchers use a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research.
Researchers collect data from observations, documentation and interviews. Then
checked and analyzed the results of the Students’ ability on translating from
English into Indonesia of eight grade at MTsN 2 sumenep.
The results of this study, the teacher explained the kinds of texts and their
rules.then, students are given the task to determine the kind of text based on the
rules. All students are very familiar with learning about the kind of text and the
way teachers apply learning. In addition, after determining the kind of students are
asked to translate text from English to Indonesian using a manual dictionary and
electronic dictionary. This method helps and speeds up students in translating
texts.
Advice for teachers, teachers as heroes of merit are expected to always be there
for students. The learning process is expected to continue and continue to grow to
increase students ' interest in learning and teachers must always motivate students
to achieve their goals
