The Analysis On StudentsEnglish Sentence Patterns Used in WhatsApp Group Calssroom Discussion

Language is one of the communication tools to make it easier for students
to interact, and each language consists of several sentence patterns. Where a good
sentence pattern will produce a good meaning according to the rules. In the
current era, interaction can also be done online in WhatsApp group class
discussions, so that students are emphasized on how they use regular sentence
patterns. In the WhatsApp Group syntax for fifth semester IAIN Madura students,
there are lots of lessons as well as discussions about sentence patterns.
There are two research focuses in this study. First, what are the student
English sentence patterns used in WhatsApp group class discussions. Second,
what are the factors that influence the use of student English sentence patterns in
WhatsApp group class discussions.
The researcher uses a qualitative approach which is descriptive as the type
of this research. Researchers obtained data from documentation and interviews
using the whatsapp application. The informants of this research are lecturers of
syntax courses and fifth semester students of the English language study program
at IAIN Madura
